It’s been five years since our first 134 Casual Shirts were introduced. We started with our Italian style
"134 Napoli" shirts, followed by the "134 Made in Japan" casual shirts. After successfully completing
the Manhattan Pattern Series and the UNTUCKED Casual Shirts,
a new challenge for our casual shirt’s lineup begins.
You may have heard of the Japanese paper "washi" before. The literal translation is "Japanese Paper"
and made using fibers from the inner bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub, or the paper mulberry bush.
This traditional Japanese craft is registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. This is our first time
to ever use washi in our products. We took this washi material and mixed it with cotton to produce this light
yet moderately firm fabric, perfect to wear just by itself on a hot summer's day.
